Kazuo Ref

Finally have a ref for one of my OCs that's not my fursona lmao.
This guy's really grown on me and his character's changed quite a bit since I first drew him. Design hasn't changed much, but he's gone through a load of personality and background development. Hopefully I'll get to working on Kiro's sheet soon.

Nicknames: Sometimes called "Kaz" by his friend Kiro.
Personality: INXJ (Introverted, iNtuition, X = Thinking/Feeling, Judging)
Kazuo had always been quiet, but became increasingly hard to read as he grew up. He's as introverted as it comes, and hasn't a clue how to communicate with others. He doesn't say much, but actually has a lot to say. He's extremely observant and an excellent listener. He is, however, very opinionated, self-conscious, and has a short fuse, sometimes accidentally snapping horribly at others. Because he detests conflict and fighting, he absolutely hates this about himself. In school, people would avoid him because they never knew what his mood was. He's labeled as 'stoic' but is actually extremely emotional. He cries often, but always makes sure nobody sees. He's a master at hiding his feelings.
Likes: Writing, reading, literature, nature, autumn, the ocean, sail boats, geography, pleasant weather, peaceful music (especially piano).
Dislikes: Most peoples' personalities, fighting, arguing, violence, loud noises, cold weather, social media, small spaces.

Family info:
Father (unnamed) - Wolf; American; worked as a businessman in New York, had trouble keeping a stable job in the town they moved to and got himself in trouble with alcohol because of discouragement, which lead to family problems. Was a very good person normally, but financial trouble and drunkenness made his temper fly out of control. During this time he constantly yelled at and fought with his wife. 
Mother (unnamed) - Shiba Inu; Japanese; met her husband when he was in Japan for a business trip, and works in business as well. Came back to New York to live with him. She struggled with health problems that worsened because of the climate, which resulted in their move. Very friendly, loving, intelligent lady. She opened a flower shop nearby their house when they moved. 

Background: Kazuo grew up in New York until his parents moved South to a warmer place and smaller town due to family health reasons. He felt extremely uncomfortable in his new school and neighborhood, as he was used to be in larger groups of people. However, he was a good student and was favored by the teachers. When he was in middle school, family issues arose and he began isolating himself more than usual, refusing to talk to his father, but maintaining a close relationship with his ill mother. Before he entered high school, his father left in a fit of rage, leaving Kazuo in a pool of resentment. His mother passed away when he graduated high school, and so he started living by himself at the age of 19. He met Kiro during his last year of high school and attempted to attend college with him, only to fail the classes he tried to take. He didn't drop out, but he ended up getting tangled in the wrong crowd and started doing drugs, trying smoking first. He distanced himself from Kiro, but his friend never left him and continued to urge him in a better direction.
